ABOUT THE EVENT
The inaugural Atlantic Mine Rescue Competition and Training Symposium brought together mine rescue teams, industry leaders, and safety professionals from across the region in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador — and by every measure, it delivered.
The event advanced mine rescue excellence through top-tier training, hands-on learning, and meaningful networking, fostering collaboration across the mining and emergency response sectors in a way that set the tone for years to come.
The week opened with a welcome meet-and-greet on Wednesday, May 12th, giving attendees the opportunity to connect in an informal setting before the work began. Training sessions on May 13th and 14th at the Glacier Arena in Mount Pearl offered a blend of classroom instruction and practical exercises led by seasoned industry professionals.
